•  Diocese with palace chees factory – "Schlierbach Schaukäserei"

Only 20km away, in Schlierbach, lays Austria’s first cheese factory that is open to the public. Here you can learn more about the journey from cow-, sheep- or goats milk in the pre Alpine region to one of the 20 cheese varieties that are produced here. Why not combine your visit with the glass painting workshop or the entertainment centre, both of which belong to the diocese. 

• Palace Brewery Eggenberg

The beautiful Palace Eggenberg where beer has been brewed for more than 200 years has been in the family‘s possession since then. This brewery is open to visitors. Guided tours are offered at any time with a minimum of 8 persons and only with a reservation. The tour of course includes a beer tasting that also features the world’s strongest beer, the Samichlaus beer.
